With a stated aim of “Sparking Imaginative Learning”, this magic show-esque rendition of science experiments certainly captures the attention and imagination of children. Since the subject matter is educational, that can only be a good thing. Professor Kaos and Dangerous Dave are good performers, doing their best to include everybody, with a good awareness of the ease with which children’s attention can be lost or diverted. Although well-designed to be equally entertaining for parents (except perhaps for the nervous-looking dads they involved in their experiment), my one reservation is that after they’ve been equipped with a host of new fart jokes and the ability to make things explode, for the next few weeks you may find your children insufferable.

Billing himself as an 18+ throwback to the off-colour comedians of the ‘70s, Reuben Lee’s stand-up is disappointingly mild. Nothing saps the power from an offensive joke worse than apologising...
