Bring plastic spoons. Lots of them. Be prepared to fling, sing, shout, scream, boo and cheer at the screen as Tommy Wiseau’s cult classic blows your mind with its sheer unadulterated awfulness. Part of the under-populated so-bad-it’s-good class of cinema, ‘The Room’ is practically plotless, with awful acting, clumsy camera work and numerous sex-scenes which continue way past the average cinema-goer’s comfort zone. A tale of friendship and betrayal, we see the days preceding the wedding of Johnny (Wiseau) and Lisa, and the effect it has on their group of friends. Written, directed and produced by Wiseau, this ninety minutes of horrible cinema is best seen on a huge screen with a crowd of adoring fans, spoons soaring through the air.
