ED2011 Comedy Review: Baby Wants Candy (Assembly)

If you’re game for an evening of madcap fun and absurdity (not to mention free sweets) then ‘Baby Wants Candy’ is a sure-fire winner of a show. Each night, this small but fiercely talented improv group from Chicago devise an entire musical based on a title given by the audience, so expect the unexpected. Hilarity is guaranteed as the cast try to stay on top of a plot where no one is quite sure where it’s heading, and it is rather wonderful when they manage to deliver a clever line or invent an ingenious song lyric completely off-the-cuff. You are guaranteed to leave the theatre with a spring in your step and smile on your face. Simply superb!

Assembly George Square, 3 – 29 Aug (not 22), 8.15pm (9.15pm), £11.00 – £15.00, fpp42.
