BBC 6Music co-presenter Adam Buxton would make a convincing claim to the title of funniest man in Britain. A national treasure to comedy aficionados since the late 1990s, Buxton is infamous for his irreverent glances at popular culture, especially his creative lampooning of the television and film industries. In ‘BUG’, he wryly introduced the world’s most controversial, innovative and ridiculous music videos before deriding the argumentative and inane comments written in response on YouTube. The audience’s laughter was not quite as infectious as these remarkable videos, reposted across the internet with immense speed, but nevertheless, ‘BUG’ was a highly diverting glimpse into the warped mind of one of the finest and dearly beloved comedians of the new millennium.
