ED2011 2/5 Reviews ED2011 Comedy Reviews
ComedySportz At Laughing Horse Free Festival (ComedySportz UK)
By Taylor Wallace | Published on Wednesday 31 August 2011
Some kids might have laughed. Few adults may have cracked a smile. I did neither. Six comedians competed against each other in “comic sport”, vying for laughs from the whole family, improvising historical events and off-key songs. The premise was bad, but the jokes were worse, flying over the little heads of those sitting attentively in the front row and failing to land on those in the rear. Throughout the show, the host seemed annoyed with the suggestions of five year-olds, and the comedians entertained themselves more than the audience. The highlights were the glow sticks they gave out and the fact that I didn’t have to put any money in their bucket when it was all over.
