ED2011 Comedy Review: Sheeps: A Sketch Show (CKP)

In a Fringe bursting at the seams with sketch shows, it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd, and while ‘Sheeps’ is undeniably fresh and original, there are a few niggling details that stop it just short of being a five-star Festival wonder. Having said this, with a comedic background that speaks for itself (the troupe includes a former Cambridge Footlights president, a So You Think You’re Funny Awards runner up and a Harry Porter playwriting prize winner), this hour of sketches always looked promising. Some of the scenes are hilarious, all of them are original and each of the three comics are blissfully talented. Although there are some parts that need polishing or abandoning, it is easy to see these three going far.

Pleasance Courtyard, 3 – 28 Aug (not 16), 4.45pm (5.40pm), £7.00 – £9.50, fpp151.
