ED2011 Music Review: MacFloyd (Brunton Theatre)

A real treat for fans old and new, MacFloyd take all the best elements of Pink Floyd’s legendary live show and recreate it before the very eyes of the mesmerised audience. Performing a great selection of classics from Floyd’s plentiful back catalogue, including the likes of ‘Money’, ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘High Hopes’, the Scottish tribute act create the atmosphere of a genuine Pink Floyd show, from the music to the lighting and visuals. Saving the best for last, the band return for an encore, performing ‘Another Brick In The Wall Part 2’ and ‘Comfortably Numb’ before they’re met with a standing ovation. A must see for any fan, MacFloyd are a treat for both the eyes and ears.

Brunton Theatre, 20 Aug, 7.30pm (9.45pm), £13.00 – £15.00, fpp211.
