Illness: symptoms, diagnosis and, hopefully, a cure. But things aren’t as simple as that for schizophrenic Catherine in this quest into the life of a woman suffering from a mental illness no-one but she can comprehend. Complemented by a well-chosen (if slightly clichéd) choice of twentieth century classical music, the balance between Cat’s torment and the endearing relationship she struggles to develop with Tom is successfully achieved. However, vocal projection is at times lacking, and movement around the stage’s limited space could be improved upon. Overall, though, this is a convincing performance throughout, showcasing the potential of its young cast. With some tweaks, this show could be standing proudly on its feet.
