Flimsy plot, tedious staging and banal tableaux make for an unappealing half-hour. Luckily it stopped here, fifteen minutes short of its advertised running time; there’s only so much witchery a gal can take. The story goes that three creepy sisters are tried and found guilty of witchcraft back in the days of yore, having made an accord with the devil – ten souls to regain mortality. They decide on taking the souls of the dastardly judge who sentenced them to death and the descendants who bear his name. So far, so old-hat. Indeed, aside from the soundtrack which was effective, almost cinematic even, there was nothing particularly exciting here. In all, poorly conceived, amateurishly executed.
