The story of loss and trauma caused by the Pan Am 103 bombing is told from different American and Scottish perspectives. On the seventh anniversary, a husband brings his grieving wife from New Jersey to Lockerbie to mourn their lost son. Half-crazed, she roams the hills in search of his remains which were never found. At the same time, the women of Lockerbie fight their own battle with Mr Jones, an American official in charge of the “shelves of sorrow”. The High School ensemble portrays the story to the best of its ability – however, well-meant Scottish accents, a lot of tartan and over-righteous morality teachings sometimes make it difficult to see the true depth of the play.
