This show sees three larger ladies singing pop hits from different decades with gags in between. The problem with it is that no element of ‘Knickerbocker Glory!’ is quite ‘enough’; the jokes aren’t quite funny enough and the songs aren’t quite good enough. They can all sing for certain, though their voices do wane a little as the show goes on, and the songs aren’t quite as slick as you feel they should be. Meanwhile many of the jokes are based around the girls being (let’s be honest) fat, and while they themselves perpetuate the jokes, there’s still something a little uncomfortable about laughing at the group’s members for being overweight. All that said, there is nothing especially offensive about this show, which makes for an hour’s light entertainment.
