ED2012 Children’s Show Review: Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and His Singing Tiger (The Mason Sisters @ PBJ)

ED2012 4/5 Reviews ED2012 Children's Shows Reviews

A bearded man dressed in a tiger suit greets you with frantic ukulele playing and high-pitched stream of consciousness singing. A laundry bag begins to ruffle and the tiger looks perplexed, Dr Brown pops out looking like an extra from a Wes Anderson film and is just as eccentric. The aforementioned Dr has the audience eating out of his palm with his perfect comic timing and astonishing mime abilities. They had me in tears of laughter, and the kids rolling on the floor in fits of giggles. I spotted a fair few adults without kids sitting in the back rows; testament to Dr Brown and his tiger’s comedic genius. This show is grrrreat!

Assembly George Square, 2-26 Aug (not 12, 20), 12.45pm.
