ED2012 Comedy Review: Bob Slayer – He’s A Very Naughty Boy (Master of Chaos / This is Gonzo Comedy)

ED2012 1/5 Reviews ED2012 Comedy Reviews

There’s not much to say about this show. It has no content, no structure and no function whatsoever. Bob Slayer begins by downing a couple of pints on stage. By the looks of things, these are not the first ones of the evening. What follows is some drunken rambling and a poor audience member being forced on stage to dress up in a sleeping bag and act out ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. His surprise guest was a naked woman with lettuce to cover her modesty. Unfortunately Slayer then himself began to undress and climb over the audience. He has been banned from Australian festivals with this show, or rather, no one has booked him. Hopefully, Edinburgh will follow suit.

Alternative Fringe @ The Hive, 2-26 August (not 14), 7.00pm.
