ED2012 Comedy Review: Jeff Leach – Boyfriend Experience (Live Nation and MHA)

By | Published on Friday 24 August 2012

Full of verve and energy, and looking like he’s about to break into a rendition of ‘Personal Jesus’, Jeff Leach has the sort of wit and whimsy that belies what many unfamiliar with him would imagine. Known for his candid documentaries on sex addiction and male escorts, Leach proves that he is not a one-trick pony as he serves up a variety of topics and styles in his show. With ‘Boyfriend Experience’, Leach illustrates not just that he is a man changed for the better but also that it is possible to be funny without pandering to the lowest common denominator form of comedy. Quick-witted, hugely likeable, and self-deprecating, Leach will leave many wishing to befriend him.

Gilded Balloon Teviot, 1-27 Aug, (not 13 Aug), 9.30pm.
