ED2012 Comedy Review: Povs And Hefter Uncensored (Catherine Povinelli And Naomi Hefter)

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

I was trapped on the top floor of a bus with an obnoxiously drunken crowd. Deafening techno music was blaring from the speakers at frequently unwelcome intervals. Two shameless comedians were divulging horrifyingly vulgar details about their sexual histories. One confessed to shoplifting, urinating in the street, and getting fired after being caught waxing her private anatomy in the office at lunchtime. I was hardly surprised when she revealed that she’d also bagged an ASBO. The other made asinine, dreadfully misguided jokes about fascism and miscarriage. If the bus’s seats had been wider, I would have curled up into the foetal position and sobbed throughout in an attempt to wash away all the awful dirtiness surrounding me.
