Test Tube Comedy (Test Tube Comedy / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Lauren Houghton | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
As is common with shows containing several different comedians, ‘Test Tube Comedy’ has moments of hilarity and moments of doom; still, every act was enthusiastic and fun, working hard to get the audience involved. Firstly there was Goose, the comedy band whose songs ranged from a description of an orgy to an ode to pasta bakes; and at least they could actually sing. The stand-up acts were a little hit and miss, however, with one seemingly consisting mainly of stripping. The head-liner, on the other hand, was extremely good, witty and relaxed as he took the stage, ensuring the show ended on a high note. All in all it was a good attempt.
