This Audio Tour Belongs To Lionel Richie (This Belongs To Lionel Richie)

Like a knowledgeable but mischievous friend whispering in your ear, well-spoken comedian Barry Ferns guides the listener on a circular route around the High Street, Grassmarket and Cowgate in ‘This Audio Tour Belongs To Lionel Richie’. Setting site-specific challenges and offering wry informational tidbits, the podcast – which you can download for free and playback on your phone or iPod – is part walking tour and part time capsule, as Fringe favourites like Tony Law, Simon Munnery and Arthur Smith reminisce about events and incidents of Augusts past. If you’re not fully confident about the geography of Old Town it might be worth keeping a map handy; key routes can get blocked and Fern’s directions are occasionally a little hazy. But overall it’s an offbeat, fun way to delve deeper into Edinburgh’s comic history.
