ED2012 Comedy Review: Introducing Stu Introducing Will – Free (Stitches Comedy – Will Ainsworth and Stuart Hossack)

By | Published on Wednesday 22 August 2012

Two guys and one stage create a comic tag team. On paper a good idea: in reality a shambles. Will and Stu have wholly different comic styles, with Will resembling a loud children’s comedian and the quieter Stu hoping everyone would say ”Well done” at the end of his sketch;  if was said it was undeserved. Admittedly there were a few technical difficulties, but their downfall was their material which was, simply said, extremely poor. Gags barely generated more than slight, often awkward, sniggers. It’s a shame as there is comic potential here, but their desperation to be funny whilst armed with astonishingly unfunny jokes resulted in a painful hour. A flop this year but at least it’s free.
