ED2012 4/5 Reviews ED2012 Dance & Physical Theatre Reviews
Abanico Flamenco (Dondeduendes / PBH’s Free Fringe)

Everything I imagined about flamenco, and something that I hadn’t – a modern twist, my Spanish friend told me. This was a fabulous show; the woman’s voice was penetratingly moving, and it touching the very depths of one’s heart. The dancing, was seductive, inspiring and powerful, and made for an experience something like watching an Almodóvar film, only that we were so close to it that each movement seemed exceedingly fantasy-like, and every moment of fantasy seemed unbelievably real. This was an incredibly powerful and entertaining show, and I only wish it could be longer… plus, the calls for donations could have been more subtle!
Mood Nightclub, 4-25 Aug, 6.45pm.
