ED2012 Physical Review: Our Soldier (Fools Play Collective)

ED2012 5/5 Reviews ED2012 Physical Reviews

‘Our Soldier’ is an eye-opening piece of theatre that depicts a corrupt and haunting world as a young journalist’s dreams are put to the test under desperate circumstances. The lead character, the journalist, is a northern Grimsby girl with high aspirations, who charms us all with her quirky mannerisms and evident determination. Shockingly, this light-hearted character quickly gets swamped into a world of darkness in which values are torn apart. The performance impressively manages to fit much thought-provoking action and content into just 45 minutes without feeling rushed. Acted with ease and precision, this performance manages seriousness and comedy admirably. My advice, go and buy your tickets because this show is not one to be missed!
