Sammy J

Neither Sammy J nor Randy (he’s the one of the left) will need any introduction to Fringe regulars. But for the uninitiated, you should check out what happened when Andrew Maxwell caught up with Sammy at Fringe 2011 for us here at ThreeWeeks.
And then, ahead of this year’s show at Underbelly Bristo Square – ‘Sammy J And Randy – The Inheritance’ – have a quick walk through Sammy’s Quick Quiz answers, which you’ll find right here…

TW: Tell us about your 2012 show in no more than 60 words.
SJ: Man puppet music storyline comedy lasting fifty-five minutes or a bit longer if the audience are laughing.

TW: Tell us about another show or performer you’re looking forward to seeing this year.
SJ: Felicity Ward in ‘The Hedgehog Dilemma’ (at Underbelly Bristo Square), because her show was nominated for an award at just about every Australian comedy festival earlier this year.

TW: How will you be preparing for the Fringe this year?
SJ: Cup of tea and a nap.

TW: What advice would you have for someone coming to the Fringe for the first time?
SJ: Soak it up, try your best, and if you are considering doing a man-puppet double act we will hunt you down and make you pay.

TW: If your show was an Olympic sport, what would it be and why?
SJ: Table tennis. It’s fun and people like it, but it probably has no business being there in the first place.

Sammy J and Randy performed ‘The Inheritance’ at Underbelly Bristo Square at Fringe 2012.
