To watch ‘Journos’ is to see an incredibly well performed, moving story, crossed with a window into the boys’ changing room. The laddish humour is spot on as we are shown a hilarious, believable image of the manly camaraderie and immature antics of the office of the “local daily”, juxtaposed with real-life tragedy. The daily drama, boyish bickering and scandalous office gossip revolve around an earth-shattering turning point when real life intervenes. The humour makes the serious all the more poignant as we are drawn in to the lives and fate of the “journos” and of the paper itself. With impressive performances from all of the cast, this show is funny, touching and never overdone.
