ED2012 Theatre Review: The Tale of Nada (Halo Theatre Company)

ED2012 2/5 Reviews ED2012 Theatre Reviews

No. No no no. A wannabe Stan and Oli duo is not doing that pair any justice whatsoever. Maybe it wasn’t the right audience, maybe it wasn’t the right space or time, but every joke or slapstick moment fell flat on the ground – much like when we witnessed the fat-clever guy and the tall-dumb clown crawl on the floor through imagined tunnels for half of the play. They are on a mission; the fact that the mission is important seems to be all we need to know, but they are not doing well. May it suffice to say that their acting, their timing, the flat character descriptions and the flat story complemented each other thoroughly and perfectly.
