This is not something you see everyday – a fact that was made very clear by the shocked faces of Edinburgh’s passing pedestrians! Taxi driver by day, cabaret performer by night, Lola takes five ticket holders on a comedic tour of the city. She changes characters several times during the show, costumes and all, and sings many amusing cover songs inspired by the Fringe: “And while she tried to be a star, she had to drive a car!” Although most of the act is performed within the intimate confines of a black cab, decorated with tinsel and fairy lights, the highlight has to be Lola dancing around the taxi to the awe of onlookers. Although not the strongest performance, it’s definitely one of the most entertaining.

Cab-arette Cab, until 1 Sep (not 26, 29, 31 Aug), times vary.
