Bob Graham – Animal Person (Bob Graham)
By Alice Harrold | Published on Thursday 22 August 2013
This is one of the slightly rare, straight-up stand-up acts, still occasionally spotted at the Fringe. There’s no journey, no message, no technical equipment; just jokes. Graham is a relaxed comedian with a talent for bird impressions (excepting the flamingo). The ‘theme’ of his show is obviously animals, which provides for a good amount of joke mileage. But this theme comes and goes as he sees fit; such as when he decides to rip into his messy flatmate or complain about doing gigs for oil workers. A slightly old fashioned and consciously un-wacky show, but nevertheless a solid performance full of laughs.
Scottish Comedy Festival @ The Beehive Inn, until 24 Aug (not 12, 19), 2.25pm.
