CatSoup – Out Of The Bag (CatSoup Comedy)

This four man sketch troupe offered a series of scenes accompanied by comedic voice-over interludes. The young comedians work well together and are clearly very entertaining performers, yet their writing failed to overcome the initial awkward barrier that acts in small venues often have to break through. The jokes were all funny on paper, but failed to produce the laughs they deserved. Perhaps with a bit more live experience and a few tours under their belt, this group could have an excellent show on their hands; but this presently quiet performance combined with a lack of successful interaction with the crowd meant that the tickets weren’t worth their price. A great deal of potential, sadly nowhere near realised.
