Chris Henry Isn’t Musical! (Chris Henry)

It’s true, folks: Chris Henry isn’t musical. Much purportedly comedic material is derived from this riveting fact, but unfortunately Henry is just too self-indulgent to make it funny. There’s a lot of footage of Henry’s ineptitude on the dance floor, but these are unlikely to be risible even to fans of ‘You’ve Been Framed!’. The show does feature some well-choreographed dance moves, and there are jokes – both prepared and off-the-cuff – to be had. Unfortunately, with his bored-looking assistant controlling the PowerPoint cues, Henry resembled David Brent in that motivational speaker episode of ‘The Office’. He shows promising comic timing, but if he isn’t going to have an original angle, he should at least have interesting material.
