Stella Graham – A Pint Of Stella (Stella Graham / Free Festival)
By Elspeth Rudd | Published on Friday 16 August 2013
Stella Graham is clearly comfortable on stage and has a relaxed, easy going style. Her routine had some highlights that were pretty funny, but it wasn’t hilarious throughout; that said, there were plenty of laughs from much of the audience. I enjoyed a number of her jokes, but her frequent return to material about being a tomboy became a little repetitive for my liking, even if there were still times when I laughed out loud. If the jokes weren’t always hugely funny, they were good enough to raise a smile, and she Is charismatic enough to command the audience’s attention. Ultimately, she’s good at what she does, and her routine has potential.
Laughing Horse @ Jekyll & Hyde, until Aug 25 (not 15), 4.00pm.
