Take Two Every Four Hours (Vertical Line Theatre In Association With Greenwich Theatre)

By | Published on Sunday 18 August 2013

The brilliant comic banter exchanged between characters Freddy and James sounds typical of two teenage boys approaching adulthood, except they aren’t typical teenagers, they’re both seriously ill. Written and performed by Henry Regan and Ross Stanley, this show captures a friendship formed in a hospital ward, as Freddy and James become dependent on laughter and each other to get through the terminal boredom of living in hospital.  Regan and Stanley’s script and performance makes what could be a static serious piece, engaging, enjoyable and emotional as they discuss life before illness, the sexiness of Nurse Reed and dreams of normal healthy lives; playing football, going to uni and meeting women.  A fantastically funny, honest and tear jerking show.

Pleasance Courtyard, until 26 Aug, (not 12), 2.00pm.
