ThreeWeeks Quick Quiz: Mill Goble
Brighton 08 index - Preview - Interviews - eDaily + Reviews - About the Brighton Festival

Brighton Fringe people answer the ThreeWeeks Q&A quick quiz. Today, Mill Goble of Discombobulated And Me whose show 'Utter Bellocs' is currently playing at The Hope.

1. Tell us about your show in no more than 30 words.
Based around the characters from Hilaire Belloc's Cautionary Tales, the children from the poems seek revenge on their creator for making them meet grizzly ends...

2. What's your role in it?
I'm the Producer for the company – Discombobulated And Me. On this occasion I've also been roped in to play one of the smaller roles (Algernon), as well as taking responsibility for operating the lights!

3. Why are you bringing the show to the Brighton Fringe this year?
We first performed it for a week last Summer at The White Bear Theatre in Kennington, and we had such a great audience response that we decided a revival this year was a good idea. Most of the original cast have been able to join us again, so it's been a bit of a reunion for us too. The local connection to Hilaire Belloc (he lived in Shipley for several years) meant that the Sussex festivals seemed the perfect place to bring the show. We are also heading over to the Arundel Town Festival at the end of August.

4. What are you most looking forward to about the Fringe?
The atmosphere. I love Brighton – I grew up near Worthing, before moving to Surrey when I went to university, so it's a bit of a nostalgia trip for me. I've been going to various festival events there for years so I know what to expect and can't wait to be a part of it.

5. What are you least looking forward to?
Parking costs in the town centre, and knowing that I have to leave again at the end of the week!

Utter Bellocs by Discombobulated And Me, 20-22 May, The Hope, 7:30pm, £10.00 (£8.00), Fringe pp46
